About Me

This is a page all about me. Welcome to my blog.

In this blog I write creative pieces and I would like to start this out by telling you a little bit more about me. I have been writing creatively for about three years now. My writing process is pretty simple but efficient. I like to sit down and write whatever I fell like. I let my emotions surge through me and never stop writing until I feel it is an efficient amount of writing. I then leave it alone for a day or two and go back to it with new eyes so I can revise it to the best of my abilities. Lastly I give it to a friend to hear what they have to say about whatever I have written. Once I have done that I put in whatever suggestions that I thought worked and then I am done.

What I have learned is that writing creatively is not as hard as some people think it is. I used to think sonnets were hard because I'm no Shakespeare but I learned that it is not so bad and kind of fun to do. I also learned what a creative nonfiction essay is and how to write one. This is something I did not even know existed and that it could be fun to write. It is so much more fun than writing a regular essay about something boring. It has been a great experience taking this class.

I have accomplished a great many things in this class. I have written my first sonnet. I have also written my first creative nonfiction essay. I have expanded my writing during poetry and writing fiction stories, which was my favorite part of the class. Fiction writing is so much fun and can really let your free spirit run wild. This has done a great job of making me a better writer, which is what i wanted to accomplish. I thought that maybe in the future I could write a great novel and would very much enjoy that.

In this portfolio I have poems, fiction stories, and a creative nonfiction essay. I spent lots of time on all of these and put my heart and soul in them. I really enjoyed writing these and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
